Pumpkin Party

At one of our RS activities, we had a masseuse come and teach us how a back rub can relax a lot of tension.

She also gave us some tips to relieve the tension.

Hope these pics will help someone else. They are doing it for me.

Then we had some healthy and un-healthy snacks.

Cute ghouls

These little ghouls are actually laides taking bubble baths with their skin masks on.

What’s more scary than the after affects of a party when your date reveals their true self.

Bwahaha!

Pumpkin Party

We had to have pumpkins show up at a scary party. Didn’t we?

What could be better than healthy pumpkins.

Oranges with celery stalks.

Boo! Fooled ya.

Happy Halloween!

Scary!

I couldn’t figure out what this was for a long time.

Scary beam!

Scary beam coming down.

I thought: UFO attack!

Then I began to notice movement along the top side. Miniture lights almost like fairy dust along with orbs and streaks of light.

Aha! One got caught in the beam and the beam beamed it up. Yikes.

After staring at it for an hour. I calmed down enough to realize the spider was at it again.

After all, it is that time of year for spiders. Really big spiders. Huge spiders according to the size of that beam (web string.)

You can catch the tail end of the lowering of the national spider web and its consumption by the spider in the following clip.

The spider wins!

My alien beam turned out to be one truly humongous spider.

Scary spider
Arrrrgh, yeek, run for your lives. A spider!

At 4:30 in the morning my imagination scares me more than any spider.

Bwaahahaha!

Happy Halloween!

First halloween party

Witches, goblins and one little strawberry filled the hall for our neighborhood trunk or treat.

With pot luck, there were 3 different chilis, hot dogs. 2 different coleslaw, corn bread, and chips and desserts gallore.

Children’s games and activities nestled in every corner. Chatter, gossip and good old fashioned reminiscence filled the air.

Everyone was so excited to be out of quarantine and ready to socialize that the neighborhood drowned in energy, anticipation and euphoria of freedom.

On the way home those cute demons flew numerous times past each trunk until their bags were too heavy to lift. Even the cute strawberry had her pumpkin overflowing.

I hope your parties will be as wonderful .

Venison Chili

(No measurements just ingredients.)

Ground venison browned with chopped bacon

Cooked and strained red kidney beans

Chopped tomatoes, onions, peppers, and 1 bay leaf

(Sweat chili: add catsup)

Chili powder, swest basil salt and pepper and the secret ingredient, cinnamon.

Top with grated cheese and a dollop of sour cream.

Water added then cook all day long. Umm, the smell alone keeps those monsters in check.

Happy Halloween!

Arachnophobia?

It’s a beautiful morning in the mountains of N.C.

Spiders!

Anyone have arachnophobia? If not its the perfect time to get ready for Halloween.

And Just Like Christmas, I get to prepare for any holiday 364 days before the fact.

This time Mother Nature is doing my decorating. Guess she can’t wait either.

Only 48 more days until Halloween! He he he he! (Cackle, cackle)

Get out that Dry Ice and drop it into a blood red soda, add some ice cream. then Scream your way into one of the best holidays ever.

Cat Scratch Fever

I woke up to a chill autumn morning. The leaves are already starting to turn up here in the mountains of North Carolina.

I can’t believe the time has snuck by so fast.

Halloween is right around the corner.

I know it’s only September, but I have to get ready for Halloween ahead of time.

Bat Cat

Bat Cat, as my daughter dubbed him, is finished. The kind of cat I don’t have to worry about getting cat scratch fever from. Lol

And just in time for Halloween.

With it being so cool this morning, I put on some hamburger to brown and I can smell the Autum soup steeping through the air.

Can’t wait to slurp up a hot bowl. And just think, I don’t have to share it with Bat Cat. Ha!

No recipe today. Everything is just stuff on hand with tomato paste and water base.

Lots of salt and pepper, onions and vegetables galore from the garden, and some sweet basil growing in my aqua garden. (And sometimes cans of vegetables. I cheat a lot in cooking.) It will be cooking all day.

Maybe you could join me for dinner with your favorite soup. I’ll be thinking about you as I spoon it up.

Monster Mistakes

Lighthouse1

Lighthouse1

Lighthouse 2

Lighthouse 2

I have spent this past week working on a commission for three light houses.  2 out of three done.  One More to Go.

I have also been putting together another Monster Classic: A Monster Love Book.

I made a Monster Mistake, two of them!  Beware Drinking while working on a lap top.

While Vacuuming the floor after three little monsters ransacked the house and smashed crackers into the carpet, One of the little monsters left a glass of juice on the arm of the chair where I was working as they gladly destroyed my house.  They did have fun.

And it kept them quiet while I was working on my new book.

1st Mistake:

While Babysitting Grandkids, Don’t try to work!

2nd Mistake:

Don’t  let anyone near a Laptop with a glass of juice or anything other kind of liquid.

Sizzle,  sizzle, burn, CRASH!

The one good thing about it all is that I saved the book at least on paper.  Now if I can only decipher my writing once again.

One other tidbit of information:  Monster Classics Presents, The Night Before Halloween.  Now Available in Paper edition through Amazon.com

One of these days I will learn BBS so that I don’t have to insert such a long link.  Until then, Happy linking!

And Watch out for those Monsters.

Making Frankenstein

Frankenstein

Frankenstein

Recipe for making Frankenstein

Ingredients:

1 Part Fact

1 Part Fiction

2 parts Creativity

Mix and match the characters.

Stir in some adventure,

Knead in a little Science Fiction and Fantasy,

Let Rise covered in Mystery,

Add a drop of History,

Heat up a steamy pot of Romance,

Drop spoonfuls of each into the pot,

And Shock the reader with a touch of Horror then,

Serve hot off the press.

I have never been very good at following a recipe.  So I decided to study the subject with a twisted sense of humor.

In the process I ran across a new combination, The How-To philosophy of deciphering a recipe.

There has been such a nice reception to my Book trailers or videos about my books that I decided to share some of the success.

In the works, is a detailed book about using MS Movie Maker.

I should have it uploaded to Kindle within the next couple of days.

Until then I thought I would share my videos once more and let you decide if you want to learn how to make one.

The following is a list of all the book reviews I have made.  6 of these reviews have been made with the movie maker.

I’m hoping that you can access the above link without having to sign in.  If not please drop me a line.

Here is a link to download Movie Maker:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx

Please read the computer requirements carefully before down loading.

The videos for two of my books are located on my Amazon blog which can be viewed when you click on the links of the books Mother Ghoul’s Curses and Rhymes and The Night Before Halloween. The links are listed after my name below.

I wish you the best while making your own videos.
