Easter Celebration – Saturday

John 3:16

New Testament

16 ΒΆ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Family time!

For those Kids or Grand Kids that don’t have anything to do.

A Great time for a party, again.

Here is a little treat you might enjoy.

A Date treat

Take a pitted date. Open it up. Spead chunky peanut butter on the inside then put a dollop of chocolate hazel nut spread on top.

Or melt some chocolate chips and roll it all in the melted chocolate.

Mmmmm…

Happy Easter!

Easter Celebration – Monday

It was suggested in General Conference that Easter is the most important Holiday to celebrate Our savior. Even more important than Christmas. If not for The Suffering and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ we would not have a way to return to Our Heavenly Father. His sacrifice paved the way for Us to be forgiven of our worldly trespasses, repent of our sins and become purified, allowing us to once again be in the presence of our Lord.

Yet Easter does not have the fanfare of Christmas. Maybe in our zeal to celebrate, Christmas has gone a little over the top. So how about we take a moment and study the Saviors life and learn the true meaning of Easter and it’s significance in our lives. Read the scriptures (Mathew, Mark, and Luke. also 3Nephi from the Book of Mormon.)

I also found an interesting web page that explains some historical evidence of the Descending God, or could be interpreted as The appearance of the Resurrected Christ here in the Americas. Check it out.

The Tradition of the Descending God

Now lets celebrate.

Every Celebration always has some kind of food. (At least the ones that I attend.)

Gotta have a cake.

Sugar free Cheese Cake

1 block of Cream Cheese 8 oz.

1 Pkg Sugar Free Cheesecake Jello Pudding

1 cup oat milk or substitute

2 Tbls Honey ( optional)

1 Tub of Zero sugar Whipped Topping

1 Tsp Vanilla

Take your favorite Cooked Graham cracker crust.

I made an oat crust.

1 cup gluten free oats

3 Tbls melted butter

2 Tbls Honey

Melt butter and Honey together until Honey bubbles. Pour over oats and mix well. Pat around bottom and sides of pan. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl beat the cream cheese until soft. Add the package of Jello Cheesecake pudding and oat milk then mix well.

Fold in the vanilla honey(optional) and Whipped Topping.

Spread onto the pie crust then chill for an hour. Slice and Serve.

Decorate with melted chocolate chips.

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 Tbls coconut oil

Melt in microwave at 30 sec intervals stiring inbetween until runny.

Use sandwich bag with a tiny cut off corner to spread over cheese cake.

Oops my corner was a little bigger than it was supposed to be.

Don’t forget the story time and games.

Can’t have a celebration without the games.

Have a slice!

Easter fun

An old vase (or new from the dollar store) or an empty bottle, an old glass plate( or new one from the dollar store), a cleaned out jar of oui yogurt ( or small glass container) some sharpie pens and super glue.

Decorate the glass with the sharpie pens. Then glue them together. Add candy, or flowers, and a tea light candle.

Makes a great table center piece or candy dish.

Make your own designs with old china, or plastic pieces.

HAVE A WONDERFUL EASTER!

The atonement of Jesus Christ changed the world and my life.
